Adelaide Schools introduces The Drama School in Doncaster East, for all your education and learning needs.
''The Drama School" has been running for over 12 years. The teachers who began the school wanted to shape their classes to best suit the students and not be confined to a pre-existent curriculum. They believe that children can be taught the skills needed to pursue a career in theatre and performance hand in hand with a focus on the development of the whole child. During Term Two 2013 students will enjoy a variety of drama activities, explore and learn the many aspects of stagecraft. We also offer a Working to Camera unit that culminates in a Film and Popcorn Night. The year concludes with a theatrical performance. Children can be taught to manage speaking in front of a crowd, they can be taught the tools that shape'communication, negotiation, and most importantly confidence. The students who learn with The Drama School are expected to have fun, interact with others, make new friends and develop new found confidence as they experience success in a visible way. These are the foundations for healthy, whole living where children are equipped to build on their gifts! Classes begin the first week of Term Two on Wednesday 17th April. The Drama School offers children a free, no obligation first class. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
